Russia calls on Britain to end its subordination to the White House

The Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom has voiced concern over London’s refusal to open an international investigation into Washington’s violations of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological and Toxin Weapons.

In a statement reported on Tuesday, the embassy said that the UK’s support for Washington and Kiev’s attempts to impede the Security Council’s efforts to issue a resolution on forming an international committee to investigate the US biological military activities in Ukraine, constitutes a clear bias and is a source of concern. It called on the British government to end its subordination to the United States and start adopting the legal framework of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).

The United Kingdom is the sponsor of the (BWC) and the guarantor for its implementation by all parties, so it shoulders a special responsibility in this regard.

The embassy clarified that Russia has raised many questions regarding the military biological activities of the Pentagon and its affiliated sides in some countries that were part of the former Soviet Union, but no reply to these questions have been made by Washington or Kiev.
