Rouhani: We are ready to negotiate the nuclear deal if Washington lifts the embargo

Tehran, (ST) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the 2015 nuclear deal.

Iran remains ready to negotiate with the United States on the nuclear deal if Washington lifts the unjust economic embargoes that it re-imposed on the country after it withdrew from the deal last year, Rouhani said in a speech at the Tehran City Forum.
Rouhani said that Iran was ready to hold talks within the framework of the P5+1 state if Washington lifted the economic embargo on Iran, stressing at the same time the importance of securing the rights of the Iranian people.

Rouhani pointed out that the Saudi regime and the Israeli entity had asked the White House to exert pressure on Iran and yet the Iranian government succeeded in managing the country by preserving the economy.
Rouhani confirmed yesterday the failure of the policy of siege and the extreme pressure exerted by the US President Donald Trump administration against the Iranian people after its withdrawal from the nuclear deal on May 8, 2018.
