TEHRAN, (ST)-Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), who was assassinated in US airstrikes yesterday in Baghdad, was a unique strategic political personality, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said during a visit to the martyr’s house on Saturday.
Rouhani said that the martyr left a huge vacuum that can’t be filled easily, stressing that Soleimani sacrificed a lot and worked around the clock to preserve the security of his country and the region.
