Rouhani: Iran, World Powers Very Close To Final Deal

Tehran – President Hassan Rouhani voiced his gratitude in the recent breakthroughs in Iran-world powers nuclear talks.

“I thank God that during election time I promised people about resolving the nuclear problem and it has been fulfilled so far,” President Rouhani said.

The Iranian president appreciated the painstaking efforts of Iran’s negotiating team over the past two years, and said, “Whenever I talk to the negotiators I can clearly realize from their voices that they are tired. But they are powerfully standing up.”

“Fortunately, the government, people and the nuclear negotiators have fulfilled their duties in this regard quite well,” he added.

President Rouhani thanked the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people for their supports to help the government pave the nuclear path.

“We are very near the peak now, but there are still some steps to the peak; God willingly the Iranian negotiators will become victorious in this difficult and complex struggle,” the Iranian president added.

Rouhani gives executive order to safeguard nuclear rights

President Hassan Rouhanigave executive order to Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran to enforce the Law Mandating Government to Safeguard the Nuclear Rights and Achievements.

The Act was passed in Majlis plenary session on June 23 and was confirmed by the Guardian Council on June 24.

Under the law, the results of any nuclear talks with the G5+1 will be valid if sanctions are entirely and fully lifted, as envisioned by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Termination of the sanctions must coincide with the first day Iran is observing its commitments to JCPOA.

The parliament obliged Foreign Minister Mohammad-JavadZarif to provide Majlis with regular reports every six-month about implementation of JCPOA.

The Act also says that the International Atomic Energy Agency will have the permission to conduct conventional supervision on the nuclear sites within framework of the Safeguards Agreement.

It said access to military, security and sensitive non-nuclear locations, documents and scientists will be forbidden and all the approvals of the Supreme National Security Council should be observed.

It said there will be no limit to acquiring peaceful nuclear technology and knowledge and R&D and all the approvals of the National Security Council should be observed.

Note one of Clause III of the Act says per Articles 77 and 125 of the Constitution, the outcome of the talks should be offered to the Majlis.

Note 2 of Clause III also says Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission should report to Members of Parliament every six-month on implementation of the JCPOA.
