Rouhani: Iran among Exemplary States in Terms of Security, Stability

President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday that Iran is among exemplary countries in terms of security, stability and hope to future, according to IRNA.

Addressing a gathering of elites and political activists in the provincial capital city of Semnan, north central Iran, he added that over the past three years, Iran has witnessed high level of security and this is in the wake of national unity and solidarity as well as public confidence in officials and the hope to future.

President Rouhani arrived in the province Thursday morning to inaugurate a number of development projects.

Referring to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and exclusion of Iran from the list of oppressive sanctions, the President said that today a country which was once considered a threat and overwhelmed by sanctions and restrictions is currently cooperating with other countries and enjoys high level of security.

Rouhani pointed to the measures taken to establish security in the region and said that if the Islamic Republic did not take actions and efforts, today, different conditions would prevail in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and the entire region.

As for the country’s nuclear achievements, he said that fortunately, a big development has taken place in nuclear technology which will be introduced on April 16.

Despite claims that 2015 nuclear deal has blocked Iran’s nuclear program, it has cleared the way for nuclear technology and its progress, added the President.

He added that exports of the non-oil products exceeded imports over the past two years and this is a source of honor for his incumbent government.
