Rouhani calls on international community to confront practices of Israeli entity

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the international community to confront the practices of the Israeli entity that violate human rights and the UN resolutions.

In a message to the United Nations General Assembly on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Rouhani said, “This entity, by adopting aggressive measures and policies in the Middle East, especially the ongoing aggression against Syria and Lebanon and its secret program to produce weapons of mass destruction, endangers peace and stability in the region.”

Rouhani renewed Iran’s firm support for the Palestinian people in order to obtain their legitimate rights. The 29th  of November reminds us of more than 7 decades of occupation of the land of Palestine by the usurper Israeli entity, the pain and suffering of the Palestinian people, and the continuing injustice against this oppressed people. This matter comes at a time when we are witnessing daily more aggressive, racist and organized crime policies by this entity. The Israeli occupation continues practicing the policies of annexation, killing Palestinians and blockade measures which violate human rights against the people of Gaza in circumstances of the outbreak of the Coronavirus, Rouhani confirmed.

Rouhani added that all these measures of the Israeli entity are unfortunately occurring at a time when the international community has not taken any effective steps to end this tragedy and guarantee the wasted rights of the Palestinian people, pointing out that because of the support this entity receives from some countries, it daily expands the range of its inhuman measures against the Palestinians.

On the other hand, Rouhani stressed during the Iranian government meeting today that Iran’s ability to defeat the policy of maximum pressure taken by the administration of the outgoing US President Donald Trump will force any new US administration to change its policies towards it.

“The American and Zionist extremists in the region oppose the nuclear agreement, pointing out that the agreement would have been good for all parties, but the United States withdrew from it”, Rouhani added.

President Rouhani pointed out that during the past seven years, Iran’s defense capabilities have doubled, and Iran’s nuclear energy is witnessing remarkable development and advancement , affirming that the country’s economy has witnessed a remarkable improvement in recent months.
