Rouhani: All economic pressures and American attempts to target Iran failed

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed that the United States has failed in all its attempts to subdue Iran through imposing economic pressure on it.

“Today we are in a very important historical situation in which our nation stands united in the face of the pressures of foreign powers,” Rouhanisaid today in a speech to a crowd of people from the central province of Yazd, “our people are ready more than any time else to sacrifice for earningtheir country a prominent place in spite of the attempts of America and the enemies to target them”.

 During the past two years, Iran has faced great economic pressures exerted by foreign powers, but the reluctance of the people, unity and wide efforts led the country to a point where America was disappointed, Rouhani pointed out, noting that the oil exports’ amounts reflect the resistance and steadfastness of the Iranian people.

The Iranian president announced the discovery of an oil field containing 53 billion barrels of oil in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, noting that if the oil company extracted 1 percent of this field, which covers an area of 2,400 square kilometers and 80 meters deep and which is located between the cities of Bustan and Amedi, then Iran’s revenues from oil will increase $ 32 billion.

He added that the situation in the country began to improve gradually despite all the pressures and that non-oil exports are increasing.
