“Circling” Film to Take Part in Morocco and Cairo Festivals

Damascus,(ST)_written by  scenarist Ali  Wajeeh And directed by Waseem al-Sayed, the Syrian film” Circling” is currently taking part in three International film festivals. The film is produced by the General Establishment  of Cinema.

It was  first screened during the 9th session of the International festival of  oriental film in Geneva in April from  4 through 13 instant.

The film will officially participate in Tiba short film Festival which will be opened in Cairo and it will run from 26 till 29 April.

As for the third festival,  “Circling” film will participate in Souss International short film festival at Ayet Maloul in Morocco where it will be included in the official contest of the 7th session (8-11 May).

The film narrates the story of two girls living together but they are intellectually different. The film provokes a number of dodged questions where it roams about the  ideas of accepting others and coexisting in an unwholesome  ambience in a country undergoing exceptional circumstances.   

It is noteworthy that the said film won  the “Merit of Order” award presented by the “Best Shorts” in California  in 2013 plus the  International Steps Festival  for Short Films” in Lattakia, Syria.
