Road Transport Foundation: Renovation of bridges  damaged by terrorist attacks

The Public Foundation for Road Transport clarified that 24 bridges have been renovated along the central network of roads and bridges affiliated to the Foundation. It referred to a study to renovate  15 bridges damaged by terrorist attacks, as part of the reconstruction plan and according to the capabilities and available funding.

The Foundation indicated in a post on its Facebook page that it is continuing to work to increase traffic safety standards on highways and central roads, by providing them with signs that are produced and manufactured locally in the Foundation’s Al-Duwair factory.

The Foundation referred to  the periodic and emergency maintenance of the damaged road sections, repairing any defects that appear, and rain drainage treatment especially in Tartous, Lattakia and Homs.

The Foundation indicated that work is continuing to complete the road (Homs – Salamiyah Hama – Homs Masyaf), and put a number of bridges and road diversions in Aleppo, Deir Ezzor and Hama into service.
