Retired Turkish officer: Erdogan caused the crisis in Syria and obstructed its final solution

On June 22nd, retired Turkish officer Khaldun SolmazTürk reiterated that the policies pursued by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan towards Syria, especially his support for terrorist organizations, were the main cause of the crisis in Syria and obstructed the final solution to it.

SolmazTürk told “Tele One” news channel: “ If Erdogan had not intervened in Syria and supported all terrorist organizations without any distinction between them, things would not have reached where they are now.”

SolmazTürk affirmed  journalist Serdar Akinan recently revealed about the involvement of those close to Erdogan in oil theft and smuggling operations to Turkey.

SolmazTürk also stressed that the looting and smuggling of olive oil and the uprooting of Syrian olive trees, as well as the looting, dismantling and smuggling of hundreds of Syrian factories to Turkey are serious criminal acts that those responsible must be prosecuted in international courts.

SolmazTürk referred to the subversive roles played by Erdogan and his regime, especially with regard to the transfer of thousands of  terrorists from all over the world who crossed the Turkish border with Syria and provided terrorist organizations with various types of weapons and military equipment.

SolmazTürk expressed his concern about Erdogan’s agreement with the US President regarding sending the Turkish army to Afghanistan.

SolmazTürk said: “ It seems that Erdogan does not and will not be satisfied with his adventures in Syria, Libya and Somalia, where he allied himself with various Islamic factions, and now he is preparing for an alliance with the main faction, which is the Taliban.”
