Restoring Control over Aleppo a Great Achievement for Syria, Resistance: Ex-Lebanese President

 BEIRUT, (ST)- Former Lebanese President Emil Lahhoud has stressed that regaining all Aleppo neighborhoods to the Syrian state’s control is a great achievement for Syria, as a leadership, people and army and for its allies in resistance.

 In a statement on Tuesday, Lahhoud said ” since the very beginning of the terrorist takfir war on Syria, we have had firm conviction that the Syrian state, led by President Bashar Al-Assad, will triumph over terrorism thanks to the steadfastness of its people and the sacrifices of its brave army.”

“This is a great expected victory for Syria on its enemies and on terrorism supporters and financiers,” added Lahhoud, pointing out that “terrorism has entered a state of despair and decline in Syria and Iraq.”
