Restoration of Stability to Syria is by Combating Terrorism- Interior Minister

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ “The restoration of  stability to Syria can only be maintained through   combating terrorism which has been targeting  Syria ‘s army and people for   nearly two years,” said Minister of the Interior Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ibrahim al-Shaar, calling on all  honest citizens to cooperate with the army, police and security forces in  carrying out their national duty, day and night, to protect the  country ‘s citizens and ensure their security  in addressing  organized terrorism which aims at weakening and partitioning Syria.

In an Interview with the Syrian TV on Wednesday, the minister indicated  that  terrorism which targets the Syrian people and the infrastructure is but the  main obstacle to bring back stability to the country, adding that the legal, ethical and moral duty assigned to the  Ministry of Interior towards  the Syrian  citizens  is to work effectively in order to promote stability and strengthen the nation in times of peace and war, alike .

” I consider myself from the first moment as the Unknown Soldier who is fighting to defend his country’s soil , dignity of his people and nation and the  restoration of her stability,” al-Shaar added.

He continued that  terrorism has no religion , no doctrine , nor  moral ground, pointing out that  the God Almighty and all set rituals deny terrorism .
The Interior Minister indicated the Ministry ‘s   “very ambitious”  training and rehabilitation plan, noting that efforts are pooled to the  implementation of new programs provide for ensuring security and stability in the country  and fighting terrorism across Syria.
