Resistant Youth Organizations Assert Support for Syria in Confronting Terrorism

Around 60 persons representing 37 youth organizations in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen and Sudan have participated in the two-day preparatory meeting of the World Organization for Resistant Youth held in Damascus.

The participants reviewed several issues related to the foundation of the World Organization for Resistant Youth and its main project as well as resistant youths’ support for countries hit by Takfiri terrorism, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency reported Monday that the final statement of the meeting asserted the participants’ support for Syrian people, army and leadership in confronting terrorism.

 “The participants stressed that the victory achieved in Aleppo city paves the way for realizing more victories nationwide and for liberating the occupied Syrian Golan and Liwa Iskenderun,” the statement said, calling for unifying all efforts to confront Takfiri terrorism.

It added that the Palestinian cause is the central cause of the Arab nation, referring to the Palestinian people’s right to resist the Zionist occupation till the liberation of the occupied Palestinian land and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

Speaking to reporters, Head of the Revolutionary Youth Union Organization Ma’an Aboud clarified that the meeting precedes the organization’s conference due to be held at the beginning of May.

“Youth organizations must play key role in fighting the Wahhabi Takfiri terrorism,” he added.

On his part, Rajab Harodeh from Libya said the events taking place in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Iraq and other countries target the armies and peoples of these countries.

“Resistance is the road to victory, while all other ways have proved ineffective,” Issa Nahhas  from Lebanon said.

Other participants declared that they came to Damascus to unify youths’ ranks against terrorism.

The World Organization for Resistant Youth is non-governmental organization that aims to defend world just causes and to back resistance movements against occupation, siege and hegemony as well as to enhance steadfastness against world Zionism and terrorism and to defend youths’ rights.
