TEHRAN -Chechnya and Saudi Arabia stand atop the list of exporters of terrorists to Syria, a new report by the western governments said, according to FNA.
According to a research by western countries, Chechnya with 14,000 “militants” and Saudi Arabia with 12,000 “militants “rank first and second, respectively, among the world countries – which also include European nations and the US – whose citizens have joined the terrorists in Syria, Al-Awsat news website reported.
It said that 3,671 Chechen terrorists have been killed and 1,397 others have been missing in Syria.
The number of the Saudi terrorists killed in Syria hit 3,872 and 2,689 others have gone missing, it added.
A sum of 4,000 Tunisian terrorists are fighting in Syria while 2,645 Tunisian “militants” have been killed and 1,315 of them have gone missing.
Syria’s Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent two identical letters to the head of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General on the terrorist acts of the armed terrorist groups and the Saudi involvement in supporting these acts.
The Ministry said on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has sponsored an armistice among the armed terrorist groups of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), al-Mujahiden Army, al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups in an attempt to foil the political solution to the crisis in Syria.
