Repentant Defectors: No Dignity without Homeland

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ ” We discovered, after we defected, the volume of  distorted facts concerning Syria and the  destruction and sabotage acts by the armed terrorists inflected on both the Syrian army and people,” said  a number of  army officers  who defected the army; but returned back to their military establishment after the truth was clear to them .

He recommended his colleagues who defected the army to reconsider their position and return back to their homeland  and to its guardian, the military establishment, so as  to take part in the process of building the homeland.

He explained that defectors should seize the opportunity given in the recent presidential decree which provides for pardoning those who fled the army, and return back to the rightful path of building the country.

Lieutenant Mahmoud Ali Mousa is another repentant defector, who said that what is happening in Syria is but acts of killing and destruction carried out by armed groups. in  the interests of the west, not  Syria ‘s interests.

He called on  all his fellow colleagues who defected  the army  to return to the right path, without  fear or hesitation , adding :” When  I surrendered myself ,  I was given the helping hand from the competent authorities and I felt proud of  the positive approach from the official sides in settling my status .”

Defected  Lt.  Molham al-Chantout and two other repentant soldiers Alaa Eddine Qazmouz and  Muhammad Masalkhi,  said  that the sole legitimate weapon in Syria   is that of  the Syrian Arab Army .

“Our beloved Syria, the country in which we live needs all her sons to build it and not to destroy it,” One soldier said.
