Repeated terrorist attacks cause water deprivation in Hasakah city

HASAKAH, May.2, (ST)- The pumping of water to Hasakah city and the residential areas has stopped because of the repeated attacks on the high-voltage line that feeds Alouk water station by the terrorists positioned in the northern countryside of Hasakah.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted Director of Hasakah Water Company Mahmoud Ukla as saying that water pumping from Alouk station stopped due to the continued terrorists’ attacks on the electrical grid feeding it.

He called for allowing the workers’ company to enter the station to ensure continuous operation and permanent water pumping.

Ukla added that the company continues to ensure drinking water to the residents in cooperation with international organizations in Syria, by filling reservoirs with water on main streets daily, and operating 16 desalination plants in Hasakah city.
