Renovation project in Krak Des Chevalier starts

The General Directorate of Museums and Antiquities has started the renovation of some sites in Krak Des Chevaliers. Director of the Citadel Na’ema Mhartem underlined the importance of this vital project which includes the restoration of several sites in the citadel that were destroyed or damaged because of the terrorist acts.

Earlier, the restoration works in the citadel included the requalification of  the water system.

The Antiquities Directorate in cooperation with the Hungarian side  also completed all the historical, archaeological and architectural study of all parts of the citadel.
