Renewed shelling by the Turkish occupation on Abu Rasin town and its vicinity causes the displacement of many families

The Turkish occupation and the Turkish-backed terrorist groups on Saturday renewed their shelling on Abu Rasin town and its vicinity in Hasakah.

Local sources told SANA that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeted the town of Abu Rasin, the villages of Al-Asaddeyeh, Khadrawi and Al-Msherfeh with artillery shells. The shelling caused damage to several houses and led to the displacement of dozens of families.

Hundreds of families were displaced from the towns of Abu Rasin and Tal Tamer in Hasakah during the past two days due to the savage aggression of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.  A civilian was martyred, scores others were injured and several houses as well as public and private properties and service facilities were heavily damaged.

In this context, the Syrian Red Crescent Organization (SARC) in Hasakah distributed humanitarian and relief aid to the displaced families who left Abu Rasin town and the surrounding villages because of the shelling.

Head of the Hasakah SARC branch Ali Mansour told SANA that the branch’s response comes within the framework of providing support for the families who were compelled to leave their areas of residence when the shelling started.

The aid included food baskets, blankets, medicines and other relief materials.

Earlier, the Directorate of Social Affairs in Hasakah has observed the displacement of 150 families from the targeted areas to the city of Hasakah. Part of these families were hosted in temporary housing centers. The directorate also observed the displacement of 1491 families from Abu Rasin to safer towns that are far from the shelling.
