Remarkable Turnout of Visitors at “Made in Syria” Family Shopping Festival in Lattakia

LATTAKIA, (ST)-The monthly “Made in Syria” Family Shopping Festival, currently held at Alma Hotel in Lattakia province, is witnessing a remarkable turnout that reflects the importance of this economic event in promoting the Syrian goods, supporting national economy and stressing the fact that the Syrian industry is recovering.

Director of “ Alma” hotel told SANA correspondent that the hotel will continue hosting the festival within the framework of supporting the national industry and encouraging the Syrian companies, particularly that the festival supports positive intervention in the market.

 Ahmed Kadroo, owner of a trade shop in Lattakia and a participat in the festival, stressed that  the event is a chance for families to buy their basic needs, noting that discounts help the manufactures increase their sales volume on the one hand and enable low-income citizens to buy what they need in suitable prices on the other.

Another participant , Mohammad Ibrahim, representative of “ Delta” company for food-stuff, underscored that the festival highlights the development of national industries which  are competitive in terms of quality and price.

On his part , Ahmed Hamwi, owner of an engineering company for kitchen manufacturing, told SANA correspondent that it was his first participation in such a festival, pointing out that  the remarkable turnout of visitors is a chance to introduce the sector of kitchen manufacturing to customers.

The festival is a chance for the industrialists to prove their abilities to market the national products and encourage new companies to participate in the festival.

Visitors, on their part, expressed their admiration over the development of the Syrian industry, the quality of products, the wide variety of goods as well as the competitive prices.

Activities of the monthly “made in Syria” family shopping festival kicked of on April 11th with the participation of more than 135 companies specialized in engineering, health, food and textile industries.

The festival will last till April 19th.
