Remarkable turnout for the Syrian pavilion in the exhibition (Cities Compatible with the Iranian Capital)

Tehran (ST): The Syrian pavilion at the “Cities Compatible with Iranian Cities” exhibition, which is held in conjunction with the activities of the first international festival of friendly and compatible cities with the Iranian capital, witnessed a remarkable turnout from Iranian and foreign officials, businessmen and academics.

In the presence of the Syrian ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayyoup, the Syrian wing visited Mohammad Javad Shoushtari, adviser and head of the Iranian Shura Council Presidency, Ali Reza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, his assistant Amin Tavakoli, the Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Jamali Nejad, and a number of members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, including Dr. Mahdi Agrarian and Dr. Souda Najafi.

Ambassador Dayyop affirmed that the Syrian participation in the exhibition reflects the strong friendship relations between the two countries and confirms the determination of Syria and its people to overcome difficulties and achieve more successes.

Dayyoup indicated that Syria and Iran are partners in the fight against terrorism, and it is necessary that they be partners in the reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism, expressing Syria’s aspiration to further strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields.

Official Iranian figures visiting the pavilion praised the Syrian participation in the exhibition, wishing more progress, success, security and stability for Syria and its brotherly people.
