FLORIDA, (ST)_ For the second running year, the Syrian pavilion at the “annual celebration of the various Nations” Festival, held in Jackson-fable, Florida, witnessed remarkable turnout of Arab and American visitors.
The pavilion which was held by Syrian-American Forum focused on acquainting with the Syrian civilization and heritage and displaying traditional and handicrafts crafts,some popular dishes known in the Syrian cuisine.
According to, pavilion organizer Dr. Mireille Bitar that what distinguished the Syrian participation for this year, is the media attention of the American local media in the state, in identifying Syria as the cradle of civilizations and that the world began from Syria.
Bitar added that the pavilion included a section for those who wish to write their names in Arabic and Syriac calligraphy, in addition to displaying archaeological sites and historical landmarks in Syria, with explaining subtitles in English for each site.
Members of the community gave artistic performances of popular dances from the Syrian folklore.
The festival was concluded in its fourth day, in the presence of the governor of the city and several young Syrians who welcomed the visitors by scattering roses and jasmine.
