PARIS,(ST)_ Syrian community in France gathering took part in the annual celebration of the French Bobigny city in a special wing, by displaying pictures of most important historical monuments and artifacts, while a workshop about Arab calligraphy was held on the sideline of the exhibition supervised by artist Imad al-Tayyeb.
Chairperson of the gathering, Dr. Rima Khleifawi said that participating in such events gives a picture about Syria and its successive civilizations, noting that the exhibition is an opportunity and a successful step to speak of events as they are and to emphasize that Syria has been and will remain the pulse of civilization.
For her part, Marie-Therese explained that the exhibition includes oriental products such as mosaics, Aleppo soap, manual Syrian glass, silk and cotton textiles, ornaments and pictures speaking about Syria.
Therese pointed that a special department was located for writing names of visitors in Arabic calligraphy by calligrapher Imad al- Tayyeb and the large turnout of French visitors to learn about the Syrian civilization.
One participant, Nora Obaid said that many visitors were surprised with pictures that represent the Syrian civilization including Palmyra, Bosra, Raas Shamra, castle of Aleppo, the Umayyad Mosque and the Old City of Damascus, pointing out the importance of this exhibition in giving the real image about Syria and its historical and cultural landmarks.
