Religious Endowments Minister and Grand Mufti during meeting with Boroujerdi: cooperation in combating Takfiri ideology continues

Damascus – Minister of Religious Endowments (Awqaf) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed stressed during his meeting on Thursday with Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security at the Iranian Shura Council, Alaeddin Boroujerdi the constant cooperation between Syria and Iran, pointing out that this cooperation is to be boosted in the upcoming days.

Minister of Religious Endowments expressed the appreciation of the Syrian people and Islamic clergymen to the Iranian people and government over the Iranian firm stance in support of Syria and the sacrifices offered while backing the Syrian people and Army, SANA reported.

 

For his part, Boroujerdi clarified that Islam is the religion of mercy as the crimes committed by those holding Takfiri mentality aim at distorting its image, pointing out to the keenness on benefiting from the books published by the Syrian Religious Endowments Ministry on the real tolerate Islam.

Grand Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun also met with Boroujerdi, stressing that victory in Aleppo will be the beginning of liberation from terrorism, which aims at dividing the Arab and Islamic nations.

He also stressed the importance of the constant cooperation between the two sides in bringing closer the Islamic doctrines and combating the Takfiri extremist ideology.

For his part, Boroujerdi expressed pleasure over victory in Aleppo, wishing that victory will continue until the Syrian people will ultimately beat terrorism.
