On March 2nd, a relief aid convoy was sent by eight civil and charitable societies in Homs to the quake-affected people in the city of Jableh, Lattakia Governorate, as part of the “Good and Loyalty” initiative launched by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs last month.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Homs, Engineer Samar Al-Mustafa, stated that the convoy, which is run by a volunteer team, includes food supplies, health and relief materials. It will be accompanied by the representative of the participating associations and distributed directly to the people in Jableh in cooperation with the relief sub-committee in Lattakia Governorate, he said.
The coordinator of the earthquake disaster response campaign at the Al-Bir Association Wael Sheikh Fattouh, explained that the association is participating for the fifth time in relief convoys for our people affected by the earthquake within the “Good and Loyalty” initiative.
In turn, the administrator and the volunteer in the Ray of Hope Charitable Association, Nazim Al-Qabbani, said that the association participated in the Good and Loyalty initiative and provided relief aid to our people in the affected governorates.
For his part, Secretary of the Arab Private University for Science and Technology, Alaa Suleiman, referred to the university’s contribution to the campaign by distributing materials and cash contributions to the affected people.
