Damascus countryside, (ST) – The Municipal Council in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad worked in cooperation and coordination with other service institutions in the countryside of Damascus to restore basic services in the Tishreen and Al-Thawra neighborhoods in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad, from the completion of the sewage project to opening and cleaning the streets. The Council started the rehabilitation of the water and electricity networks, with the follow-up to the removal of rubble in preparation for the return of the locals to their homes.
The head of the Municipal Council, Khaled Khamis, said to the SANA that, all the main and subsidiary streets in the two neighborhoods, Tishreen and Al-Thawra in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad have been opened, , with the support of the Technical Services Directorates in the governorates of Damascus countryside and Quneitra.
Work is underway to rehabilitate schools, the health center, electricity and water networks damaged by terrorism, and re-feeding the Al-Hajar Al-Aswad electricity line from Hosh Plus station.
