Rehabilitation and operation of the monitoring and measurement system in Bradon Dam in Lattakia countryside

Latakia (ST): The Directorate of Water Resources in Lattakia has rehabilitated and operated the monitoring and measurement system for the Bradon Dam body in the northern countryside of Latakia and the irrigation outlet tower in the dam, which was previously deliberately sabotaged by terrorist organizations during their control of the region.
The director of water resources in Latakia, Firas Haidar, said in a statement  that the terrorist organizations, during their control of the area, cut the cables of the monitoring and measurement devices for the nucleus of the dam body and the tower of the irrigation outlet, along with stealing reading and recording devices, and a displacement and distortion measurement device, which caused the suspension of the work of earthworks, the concrete and mineral in the irrigation socket tower.
Haider indicated that in 2016, security was restored to the area, and as a result, the Directorate, in cooperation with the Water Studies Company in Homs, evaluated the backfill of the clay nucleus of the dam body and other backfill materials, filters, and started again to implement the dam works in cooperation with the project executing agency, the Military Housing Corporation Branch 2 to work.
