Reconciliation takes effect in Qadam quarter in Damascus
DAMASCUS,(ST)_National reconciliation deal has come into effect in Qadam quarter in the capital [Damascus ], Head of Popular Reconciliation’s Central Committee Sheikh Jaber Issa says.
Speaking to the official news agency (SANA), Sheikh Issa said that the implementation of the reconciliation deal in Qadam quarter will start today and it paves the way for the return of locals to their houses there.
“The deal provides for handing over a list of names of gunmen in the quarter to regularize their situations plus another list of names of the abductees, removing sand barricades in order to open roads, restoration of services to the quarter and ensuring the return of locals,” Sheikh Issa clarified.
Over the past months, several areas in Damascus and Damascus countryside have witnessed national reconciliations which led to the restoration of stability and security to that areas and the return of the locals to their houses.
Among these areas are- Moaddameyet al-Sham, Yalda, Babbila and Barzeh.
