Receiving 11,500 Tons Of Wheat In Suwayda

Suwayda-(ST)- The quantities of wheat delivered to the grain receiving centers in Suwayda reached about 11,500 tons till July 14, according to the director of the office of the Syrian Grain Corporation in Suwayda, Engineer Basil Heneidy.

Heneidi stated in a statement to Al-Youm’s correspondent that the quantities of  delivered wheat are more than good because harvesting operations for the crop are still continuing, pointing out the continued receiving of the crop within the two farm centers for mashul wheat and the Umm al-Zaytoun mill site for dogma wheat.

The harvestable areas of wheat in Suwayda for the current season are 30,731 hectares for rain-fed crops and 992 hectares for irrigated crops, and the total initial production estimates are more than 23 thousand tons.
