Real nightmare: Bale and Ronaldo OUT of Champions League as Morata returns to haunt Madrid to send Juventus into the final

REAL MADRID 1-1 JUVENTUS (AGG 2-3) – MARTIN SAMUEL AT THE BERNABEU: Local boy makes good. Not that they will be celebrating it in Madrid. Alvaro Morata didn’t celebrate his moment of glory, either. Maybe he wants to come back here and live one day. Morata was the one they let go. Real Madrid sold him to Juventus in the summer – and last night he returned to scold them in the most hurtful way possible. He knocked them out of the Champions League.

PETE JENSON IN MADRID: Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid was thrown into more doubt as Real Madrid crashed out of the Champions League.

Bale, who has faced criticism from Real fans this season and been linked with a move back to the Premier League in the summer, endured another disappointing night and missed several good chances.

That allowed former Real striker Alvaro Morata to secure a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu and send Juventus into the final against Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate.
