DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- UN Under-Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Leila Zerrougui, has confirmed the need to prevent targeting schools and protecting children against violence.
During her visit today to Hussein Abdul Rahman Batiha School at Al Wafidin camp in Damascus countryside, Zerrougui expressed the United Nation’s readiness to reactivate cooperation with the Syrian Government to and provide psychiatric and behavioral services.
Earlier, this school was targeted by terrorists, which led to the martyrdom of a number of children.
