Hasakah, (ST) – The General Establishment for Drinking Water in Hasakah Governorate re-pumped water to the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Hasakah, after it had been cut off by Turkish occupation for three months.
In a statement to SANA, the governor of Hasakah, Ghassan Khalil said that, the pumping of water began to the eastern neighborhoods of the city “Al-Aziziyah, Al-Salihiya, Al-Talaeh’, Khashman and Al-Mufti” after being cut off as a result of the practices of the Turkish occupation and its deliberate halt to the Alouk Water Station to deprive more than one million people in Hasakah from drinking water.
The Turkish occupation forces had stopped operating the Alouk water station, which supplies the city of Hasakah and the western countryside with drinking water, 28times since it occupied Ras Al-Ain since November 2019.
