“Re-Build Syria 2023” Exhibition shows most recent building materials and technologies

“Re-Build Syria 2023” Exhibition is an international event for showing building materials, lighting tools,  hardware, water Technologies…etc..

The 8th session of the 5-day exhibition kicked off on the 27th of September  at the Fairground in Damascus with the participation of 183 companies representing 14 Arab and foreign countries and it will close its door today.

Syria Times newspaper’s correspondent has visited the exhibition and conducted interviews with several participants.

Eng. Ammar Haider, the Director of  Damascus and Damascus countryside branches of the General Company for Roads and Bridges, said: “ Our company is keen on in taking part in all exhibitions related to building and rebuilding in order to show the latest developments in this field and exchange experiences with the participating companies.

He indicated that the company shows in its pavilion the most modern building projects, tools and materials it possesses.

Haider pointed out that the company has worked on developing its own machinery over the past years and it abides by  standards of quality, specifications, duration, security and safety.

” This exhibition is a good indicator of the beginning of Syria’s recovery and reconstruction during the next stage with the participation of all concerned parties,” he concluded.

The General Company for Roads and Bridges is one of the largest integrated construction companies in Syria and operates in Syria and abroad. It was established as a result of the merger of the “Qasioun” Company and the General Company for Roads and Road Branches in the General Company for Land Reclamation according to the legislative decree No. 168 of 2003 with a capital of One billion Syrian pounds.

In the Romanian pavilion, Mr. Bogdan Gavrilescu from the “Urbio” Lighting Company expressed his happiness for taking part in this event.

“It is our first participation in this exhibition and our goal is  to share our experiences with the Syrian government, construction workers, and Syrian industrialists….We believe that our products will have an effective and constructive role in the reconstruction of Syria,” he said.

Mr. Gavrilescu added that Syrian people received them as friends because of the historical relationship between Romania and Syria. He believes that It is better for Syria to carry out reconstruction on the basis of the smart city.

For his part, Sales Manager of the “Minaret” Center, Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Khawandi, told us: “Our participation in this exhibition is a great honor for us, as we fully believe that Syria will rise again and it needs all companies to rebuild their institutions, and our company is concerned with this matter.”

He went on to say: “ Our company is an exclusive agent for the Saudi Global Integrated Company…. We have more than 60 products in the market. Our software and technical solutions developed and specialized in the accounting and administrative field, which we provide with strong expertise and distinguished skills, which helped us leave our mark on the success of many projects and experiences that contributed to building society and achieving development and progress.”

Al-Khawandi confirmed that the company has creative youth, and we are proud of our program, which is being done by 70% of Syrian youth inside Syria and abroad.

He concluded by saying:” We help the people of our center to develop themselves by providing them with free courses and ensuring a comfortable and safe work environment.”

Since every crisis generates opportunities, the exhibition is considered as an opportunity to intensify cooperation among local and international participating companies and government sectors in rebuilding the country.

By having all government building sectors in the exhibition, participants can meet face to face with all the decision makers,  see  the projects offered by the government, and sell their sophisticated products through secure channels.
