Rally in Tulkarm in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails

Dozens of Palestinians have called on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their violations against the Palestinian prisoners whose lives are at risk because of the Israeli occupation’s policy of deliberate medical negligence in the Israeli jails.

In a solidarity rally in front of the Red Cross headquarters in the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank,  participants in the rally stressed the need to continue supporting the Palestinian prisoners and to express solidarity with them in the light of the occupation’s barbaric practices towards them, particularly as a number of prisoners are suffering from dangerous diseases such as cancer. The participants called for the immediate release of the hunger striking prisoners, as well as the sick, elderly, women and children imprisoned by the occupation.

Around 5300 Palestinian prisoners are in the Israeli jails within harsh detention circumstances. 1800 prisoners are suffering from several diseases, 700 of who need urgent surgeries, particularly those with cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
