Raisi during the Businessmen Forum in Damascus: Iranian people and officials always stand by the Syrian people

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has affirmed that his visit to Syria constitutes a positive and good turning point for the development of relations between Tehran and Damascus, and will have an impact on the economic relations between the two countries and the entire region.

He made the remarks during a businessmen forum organized by the Syrian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the joint Syrian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce on Thursday at the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

President Raisi said that a number of decisions were taken during his meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad.

He explained that 15 documents were signed between Tehran and Damascus, stressing that the joint meetings between Syria and Iran are useful for the implementation of the agreements between the two countries and that it is appropriate to form a joint chamber for this purpose.”

Raisi went on to say that the current volume of trade exchange between the two countries “is not acceptable from our point of view and does not rise to the excellent political relations between the two sides and so, we need a step forward in this field to expand and boost relations.”

“Iran has transformed the blockade imposed on it into opportunities, and I believe that the possibility in Syria is also available to transform sanctions into opportunities,” he stressed.

In this context, Raisi hailed Iran’s good experiences in the economic field, including electricity and electricity generation, petrochemicals, agriculture, industry, science and technology, pointing out that good steps have been taken in this regard with the aim of exchanging experiences with Syria.

Raisi: “I see Syria’s future completely bright”

Raisi pointed out that the enemies have targeted Syria, its people and its oil and gas wealth, which are being looted. Syria is a rich country where agricultural has always been present, as is the creativity of the Syrian people in the field of agriculture and industry. He stressed that getting out of this condition is possible through true will, and “I see Syria’s future completely bright.”
