Racist, Lawbreaking, Warmongering Group Rule in White House: Rouhani

TEHRAN–  President Hassan Rouhani of Iran has stressed that the US President Donald Trump’s declaration on occupied Syrian Golan is a flagrant violation of international law, lashing out at  US administration’s warmongering policies towards Iran and many other countries.

According to the official website of Iranian presidency, Hassan Rouhani made the remarks on a visit to flood-hit areas in southwestern Khuzestan Province and at the coordination meeting of Disaster Management Taskforce of the province on Friday.

“The United States is violating international rules and regulations on a daily basis,” he continued, adding “a racist, lawbreaking, and warmongering group has obtained position in the White House,” according to Mehr news agency.

Meantime, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the occasion of the Palestinian Land Day, that Trump’s decision to declare al-Quds as Israel’s “capital,” relocate its embassy to the city and his recognition of Israel’s “sovereignty” over the occupied Syrian Golan have all proved that anti-Israel resistance is a “correct path and the Land Day is one of its symbols.”

The ministry censured Israel’s “criminal” actions and the illogical and unlawful US support for the Israeli entity, saying the continuation of resistance until full liberation of Palestine would play a leading role in the establishment of “lasting” peace in the Middle East.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that the establishment of sustainable and fair peace in the region will only be possible through the continuation of resistance until complete end of Palestine’s occupation, the return of all [Palestinian] refugees to their homeland, determination of Palestine’s next system based on [holding] a referendum in the presence of all its main residents and finally the formation of a united Palestinian government with [East Jerusalem] al-Quds as its capital,” the statement said.

It added that the US government’s moves in violation of the United Nations Security Council and its support for the Israeli entity, which was against international law, prove “futility of efforts by some Arab countries in the region to normalize ties” with the Tel Aviv regime.

The US measures also show that “overt and covert efforts to establish relations with this entity cannot help restore the Palestinians’ rights and end the occupation of Arab-lands,” it said.

He added that ” Shab’a farms, Kfar Shouba hills as well as al-Ghajar villages are Lebanese lands and that “occupation has no place on our lands”.
