Rabiei: Washington cannot claim diplomacy before the lifting of sanctions on Iran

Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei stressed that the US administration should take steps to prove goodwill and build trust regarding the nuclear agreement, but it did not move in this direction.

Rabiei said in a press conference today: “Washington cannot claim that it is seeking diplomacy before the lifting of sanctions on Iran. Joe Biden’s administration cannot continue the policy of former President Donald Trump and expect different results”. He considered that diplomacy is the only option to resolve differences which have to be built on goodwill and far from unilateral actions.

Rabiei added, “The recent agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency carries a message of good intention from Iran to clear the way for diplomacy, and we expect that the parties concerned with the nuclear agreement will realize the meaning of this message to take a step in order to prove its goodwill in return.”He reaffirmed that the Iranian nuclear program will remain peaceful and under legal international supervision.

Rabiei pointed out that the Trump administration worked to implement satanic plans against the Iranian people, which led to the imposition of international isolation on America.
