Qatar, KSA as culpable as US in crimes committed in Syria: Iran cmdr

A top Iranian commander says Qatar and Saudi Arabia are as culpable as the US and the Zionists regime of Israel in the crimes committed in Syria, according to Press TV.

Deputy head of the Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri on Saturday condemned the inhumane actions of the US government in Syria.

“Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization [created] by the US for the dual purposes of defaming Islam and carrying out terrorist operations on behalf of foreign [intelligent] services” the commander said.

Jazayeri added that past experience shows those who export terrorism to other countries will eventually fall victim to terrorism.

On Monday, the Israeli regime’s coordinator on Syrian Affairs Afif Shavit had reportedly met with unnamed Qatari officials in London in late May and agreed to cooperate on arming terrorists in Syria.

The European Union failed to extend an arms embargo on Syria back in May, effectively giving the green light to individual governments, including London and Tel Aviv, to send arms to terrorists in Syria.

The Financial Times revealed in May that Qatar had funneled billions of dollars to terrorists in Syria over the past two years in an attempt to overthrow the Syrian government.

The crisis in Syria began in March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of Syrian soldiers and security forces, have been killed in the foreign-sponsored militancy.

According to reports, militants from as many as 29 different countries are fighting against Syria and other reports show the West and its regional allies – especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey – have been supporting the terrorists.
