Qatar Funding So-called ISIL in Iraq- German minister

BERLIN- German Development Minister Gerd Muller has stressed that Qatar is funding the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terrorist organization in Iraq.

In a statement to AFP published on Wednesday, Muller, who condemned the crimes being committed by the ISIL terrorists, asked “who is financing these forces? I think it is Qatar.”

According to observers, Qatar, encouraged by the United States and its western allies, is openly supporting, financing and arming the armed terrorist groups in Syria, including the ISIL, to serve the great schemes targeting the Arab region.

Muller’s remarks come after a statement made yesterday by German Finance Minister Sigmar said that the international community is arguing about the party which has financed and is still financing the ISIL.

These statements by German officials indicate Germany’s fears from the danger posed by the ISIL terrorist organization and other terrorist groups over the security and interests of Western countries which have been providing all forms of support to the armed groups in Syria over the past three years to destroy the state.
