DOHA, (ST)- Qatar Fund for Development has unveiled that it has given the so-called “White Helmets” terrorist organization two million US dollars to carry out what it called “relief activities” in Syria in a move that provides further evidence of Qatar’s continuous support for terrorism in Syria.
The “White Hemets” was established in Turkey in 2103 by US, British and western funding to carry out alleged humaitarian work in Syria. Its work within terrorist-held areas raised inquiries about their alleged “humanitarian” activites, particularly because its members are affiliated to terrorist organizations and they appeared in some videos carrying weapons and fighting alongside the terrorist groups.
In a tweet on Sunday, the “Qatar Fund for Development” said it had given $2 million to the “White Helmets” in order to finance alleged “relief and development projects” in terrorist-held Syrian areas, a report published by SANA said.
In May, 2018, the “White Helmets” terrorist organization acknowledged that it continued to receive funding from Turkey and Qatar which both are involved in supporting terrorism in Syria.
Several documents were found in the areas liberated by the Syrian Arab army revealing that the “White Helmets” used its close connection to the terrorist organizations, particularly “Jabhat al-Nusra” to prepare attacks with the use of chemical weapons against civilians in several Syrian areas to accuse the Syrian Arab Army.
American writer Tony Cartalucci has stressed that the “White Hemets” is a suspicious organization and it is nothing but “one of the American plays to mislead the public opinion”.
