Qatar emphasizes the importance of supporting international efforts to meet the Syrian people’s aspirations

NEW YORK, Apr.12, (ST)- The State of Qatar has reiterated its support for the sovereignty, national unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, emphasizing the importance of supporting international efforts to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people.

This came during a meeting held between Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Alya Ahmad bin Saif Al Thani, with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Syria, Geir Pedersen, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission in New York, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar stressed the importance of supporting the efforts of the Special Envoy to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for security and stability.
