Hasaka, Deir Ezzour (ST): A militiaman from the US-backed QASAD militia was killed when the militia’s positions and movements were targeted by unknown persons in the countryside of Hasaka and Deir Ezzour city. Local sources said that unknown persons on their motorcycles opened fire at a checkpoint for the militia in Markada town to the south of Hasaka, causing the immediate death of a militiaman.

The sources added that an explosive device planted by unknown persons went off earlier in a car on al-Kharafi road to the south of Hasaka causing injuries to the occupants of the car.

In Deir Ezzour, one of QASAD militiamen was wounded by the gunfire of unknown persons in the city of Hajin to the east of Deir Ezzour and several others were wounded when an explosive charge planted in a military car went off in al-Shaghfa town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzour.
