Qameshli city’s residents call for the expulsion of US and Turkish occupation forces from the Syrian al-Jazeera region

HASAKA, (ST)_The residents of Qameshli city protested on Wednesday against the presence of the US and Turkish occupation forces in Syria, condemning the unilateral and coercive economic measures  being imposed on the people of Syria.

The protesters raised banners calling for the expulsion of US and Turkish occupation forces from the Syrian al-Jazeera region.

They affirmed that the US and Turkish occupation forces plunder Syrian oil and wheat and deprive people from them.

The protesters asserted that they stand by the Syrian army in eliminating terrorism.

Mariam al-Ali, one of the participants in the protest said: “We completely reject the presence of US and Turkish occupation forces .. They pose a threat to our security as Syrian citizens .. Today, we are standing to tell the whole world that we reject all forms of occupation and we denounce the unjust siege being imposed on the people.”

Another participant, his name is Salman al-Ali asserted the need to unify ranks against the occupation forces in Syria. He appealed to international organizations to condemn the theft of oil and wheat by the US occupation forces.

Over the past months, the residents of Hasaka and Der Ezzour protested against the criminal practices of the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia and the presence of the US occupation forces.
