Minister of Tourism Besher Yazgy has affirmed that Syrians are determined to continue living and to achieve victory over terrorism despite the pain.
His remark was made during the opening ceremony of the Qalaa and Wadi Festival [Castle and Valley Festival] kicked off Thursday evening in Wadi al-Nadara(valley) in Homs province.
The minister said that the festival represents a message to the whole world that the Syrian history and civilization will never disappear.
He called on Syrian expatriates to back tourism in the country and to be a real partners in investment.
Yazgy also referred to the role of the Syrian Arab army’s units in protecting the state of peace and stability in Wadi al-Nadara.
On his part, Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi stressed that Syrians’ culture is stronger than the obscurantist thinking. “
The festival, which will be concluded today, included bazar, concerts, exhibitions, political meetings, films, marathon, best dishes competition, sport show and stage shows.
