Putin: The United States does not have exclusive and special rights in the world

Moscow, (ST)- Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the existing idea that the United States may have exclusive and special rights in the world is simply unacceptable.

It is inadmissible that, the United States, extends its jurisdiction beyond its national borders. Today, the German leadership says exactly the same thing that it is inadmissible that the United States imposes secondary sanctions, on companies, that have no relation to the United States, trying to prevent them from pursuing their national interests,” . Putin said in an interview with Russian TASS news agency.

He pointed out that the relations between Moscow and Washington range from good to medium, “and on the list of good aspects in these relations is cooperation in combating terrorism and the growth of bilateral trade especially during the past two years.” Putin said

Putin warned that the United States had tried to incite Ukraine against Russia and said that they were “trying to gain Ukraine’s affection and control its decision. They also want to strengthen it by using our money as they do not want to give it money themselves”, referring to the money that Moscow was paying to transport gas to Europe via Ukraine.

He noted that “Washington imposed sanctions on the” Nord Stream 2 “pipeline project to transport gas to Europe in an attempt to secure a market for its products exclusively to serve its selfish interests and at the expense of European consumers”.
