Putin: Significant outcomes have been achieved in combating terrorism in Syria

Qingdao, China – Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the coordinated measures between Russia and the Syrian Government and other partners have led to achieving significant outcomes in the field of combating terrorism in Syria, SANA reported.

In a speech delivered during the plenary session of 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO Summit, President Putin was quoted by Russia today website as saying that the Syrian Government has fulfilled its commitments completely and it has shown readiness for dialogue and that the issue now is left for the “opposition”.

Putin added that priority at Shanghai Organization is given for cooperation for combating terrorism based on adopting programs that define the standards of the joint work in this regard for the three next years and which provide for holding joint trainings and establishing a more solid exchange of experiences and information.
