Putin: Russia attaches great importance to developing constructive partnerships with Arab countries

Russian President Vladimir Putin in a cable to the participants in the Arab summit held in Jeddah affirmed that  Russia attaches great importance to developing friendly relations and constructive partnership with the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, including within the framework of dialogue with the League of Arab States, in order to respond to the threats and challenges facing humanity effectively.

He stressed that Russia is determined to continue supporting collective efforts for the peaceful solution of acute regional issues, including the crises in Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Syria, with unwavering respect for the sovereignty of states and the existing provisions of international law.
