Putin reviews situation in Syria & Libya with Russian Security Council

Moscow,(ST)- Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Russian Federal Security Council the situation in Syria and Libya.
Novosti News Agency quoted the Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov as saying that the participants in the meeting discussed the situation in Syria, especially in Idleb in light of the telephone calls Putin made with a number of his counterparts.
Peskov added that the meeting also centred on the latest developments in Libya and the international efforts being exerted to reach a settlement there.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova affirmed in a press statement that the existence of a terrorist pocket in Idleb cannot be tolerated.
