President Vladimir Putin of Russia and his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, during a phone call on Wednesday, discussed the situation in Syria, stressing further cooperation to find a solution to the crisis in the country and to restore its territorial integrity.
The two leaders positively evaluated the solid coordination within the framework of Astana process which plays an important role in finding a solution to the crisis in Syria, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
The two sides also assessed the Russian-Iranian agenda, focusing on enhancing cooperation between Moscow and Tehran in several fields, and on carrying out joint projects mainly in the domains of energy, oil, transport and logistic services.
