Putin in a message to the Arab Summit: Finding a just solution to the Palestinian issue has become an urgent matter

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that finding a just solution to the Palestinian issue has become greatly important, in the light of the unprecedented escalation taking place in the Middle East.
Putin noted in a message he sent to the participants in the 33rd Arab Summit held in Bahrain that “the Middle East is going through is one of the most severe crises in its history, as the war waged by “Israel” has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians and led to a sharp increase in tension in the neighboring countries and the region as a whole.”
Putin added: “In light of these tragic events, reaching a just solution to the Palestinian issue on an internationally recognized basis becomes a particularly urgent matter,” expressing his country’s determination to continue active support for the collective political and diplomatic efforts made by Arab partners in order to quickly resolve the existing contradictions.
Putin continued: “Our country constantly calls for a sustainable and long-term solution to the situation in the Palestinian territories and in other conflict areas with permanent respect for the sovereignty of all countries of the region and respect for international law,” stressing that continuing to expand traditional friendly relations and multifaceted constructive cooperation between Russia and the Arab countries fully meets the common interests of the Russian Federation which are in line with ensuring security and stability at the regional and global levels.
