Russian President Vladimir Putin has not made a decision so far if he plans to run for the next presidential term as a party candidate or an independent one, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
“No, not yet, as soon as there is the decision, we will tell you,” Peskov said. The decision may be announced before the New Year or later, he added.
The Kremlin spokesman gave no answer who will lead Putin’s campaign headquarters.
Last week, Putin announced that he plans to run for a new presidential term in the presidential election due on March 18, 2018.
